Alexander Keith died. He was a noted Scottish-born Canadian politician (Conservative), freemason and brewer. In 1820, he founded the Alexander Keith’s Nova Scotia Brewery. He was buried in the Camp Hill Cemetery, where his birthday on October 5 (1795), was often marked by people visiting the grave and placing beer bottles and caps on it.
