Well-known human rights crusader, lawyer and advocate for Nova Scotia’s black community for over four decades, Burnley ‘Rocky’ Jones, died (b. 1941). “When you stick your head in the lion’s mouth and hear him roar, there is no more excitement in this world of politics. It is the politics of survival for your community and change in your community” (Burnley ‘Rocky’ Jones Revolutionary, p. 212).
