About the Author

LAURIE LACEY is a graduate in Anthropology from King's Dalhousie, Halifax and is presently completing his M.A. in Folklore at Memorial University, Saint John's Newfoundland.  He is dedicated to the study of Mi'kmaw culture and is the author of numerous articles concerning their herbal medicines and medicine men.
