About the Author

Local popular historian Dianne Marshall's previous books about Nova Scotia's history have won her positive reviews as well as award nominations. Her bestselling Heroes of the Acadian Resistance was nominated for the 2012 Dartmouth Book Award. Her most recent book, True Stories from Nova Scotia's Past, continues to be a bestseller since its publication in September 2012, and has been reprinted several times.
