About the Author
LILLA STIRLING was born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and graduated from Dalhousie University where she majored in English. She obtained a Master's degree from Columbia University. She also attended the School of International Relations in Geneva, Switzerland and the International School of Hoenefess, Norway. In 1966 she was granted a sabbatical to visit schools and talk with educators around the world. Her trip included visits to Hawaii, East Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, The Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Nepal, Kenya, Athens, Florence, Finalnd and Russia. Schools in Canada and the U.S.A. were also visited. On this trip she audited lectures in English at Edinburgh University, Scotland.
