                                            Raffi’s For the Birds
by Sylvain Meunier
illustrated by Elisabeth Eudes-Pascal
Raffi wants to save the birds by protesting the destruction of trees they nest in.
This morning, Raffi McCaffery is anxious. Behind his house, chain saws are threatening to topple trees and build on land where songbirds live. Without a place to nest, what will happen to the common yellowthroat? Raffi isn't sure what he can do to save the birds, because he has trouble walking. His legs may be weak, but he has lots of ideas, and friends ready to help!
